"Do your best, and have fun.”
James Lemaitre was born in the city of Brampton and is now attending Cambrian College in the Design and Visual Arts program. His body of work ranges from traditional paintings, ink drawings to untraditional digital pieces using a drawing tablet and Photoshop. James’ more grotesque pieces are mostly influenced by his nightmares, which are themselves inspired by the violent or horrific games, movies, and shows that interest him. His landscape artworks are inspired by the more light hearted things he enjoys such as Bob Ross paintings, cartoons, and more games. Music also plays a big part in the creation of his artwork, with the sounds and feelings being transferred onto the art pieces. The music that inspires James’ artworks consists of variations of metal music, Scandinavian Folk music, Orchestral, Funk, and Jazz.
