Heavily influenced by indigenous issues, her cultural heritage, and an inherent drive for social action, Kattie Moore creates artwork that expresses her voice as a Cree woman living in a colonial world. Working predominately as a painter, Kattie experiments with themes presented through abstract expressions and emotionally charged realistic characterizations. Raised in Constance Lake First Nation, Kattie’s collection continues to provide a window into her lived experience and displays her relevant advocation for marginalized populations across Turtle Island.
